Brownstown library announces March programs for adults

Three programs have been planned for adults in March at the Brownstown Public Library, 120 E. Spring St., Brownstown.

First, the Adult Book Club will meet at 1 p.m. March 8 to discuss “A Novel Proposal” by Denise Hunter. The book follows a western novelist named Sadie Goodwin, who due to lackluster sales, must write a contemporary romance novel. Having never actually been in love, she begins to devour romance novels and accepts an invitation to stay at her friend’s beach duplex in North Carolina for the summer.

Members are urged to read the month’s selection before the meeting; however, they may attend even if they haven’t finished the book as long as they don’t mind hearing how it ends. All members are encouraged to participate in the discussion, but listeners are welcome.

Light refreshments are served by individuals from the group on a volunteer basis. Extra copies of the book selection are available one month in advance at the library circulation desk. Registration is requested and may be done at the circulation desk or by calling the library at 812-358-2853.

Next, Craft Night is set for 5 p.m. March 21. Participants will paint the upcoming total solar eclipse and take home a pair of solar eclipse glasses. The class is limited to 10 participants as supplies and space are limited.

The third program is for crochet enthusiasts. Crocheters can join fellow enthusiasts at Crochet & Chat at 5 p.m. March 28.

Registration is required for Craft Night and Crochet & Chat and may be done at the circulation desk or by calling the library at 812-358-2853.
