Brownstown Christian Church will offer its next session of GriefShare classes beginning March 5 and continuing for 13 weeks until May 28.
The group will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays at the church, 703 W. Spring St., Brownstown.
GriefShare is part of the ongoing support ministry for those who have suffered the loss of a friend or family member. Each session deals with a specific aspect of grief and gives help on how to navigate through the loss.
The support group is led by Doug Pogue, associate minister of Brownstown Christian Church.
Registration is not required but would be helpful. Register by calling the church office at 812-358-4172 and submitting your name or you can go online at griefshare.org, choose “Find a Group” and register there.
The 13-week course is individually focused, so anyone can join at any time; however, for the best results, participants are advised to be involved in the entire three-month time frame.
There is no cost for the course, as several of the local funeral homes have provided the necessary sponsorship.
Participants may enter the church at Entrance 1 under the drive-thru canopy off of the Bridge Street parking lot.
