Brownstown Central High School’s Science Olympiad team placed second at the regional competition Feb. 10 at Ivy Tech Community College in Terre Haute.
Gold medals went to Bella Brown and Megan VonDielingen for Disease Detectives, Brown and Braedyn Stidams for Geologic Mapping and Cody Blackburn and Claire Schepman for Robot Tour.
Silver medals went to Abby Tovey and Conner Wynn for Codebusters, Stidams and Blackburn for Dynamic Planet, Blackburn and Wynn for Fermi Questions, Tovey and Schepman for Forensics, Brown and VonDielingen for Forestry and Tovey and Stidams for Write it/Do it.
Bronze medals went to Tovey and Brynn Burton for Anatomy and Physiology, Burton and VonDielingen for Chemistry Lab, Brown and Stidams for Ecology and Brown and VonDielingen for Optics.
“Great job from all of the competitors,” coach Kasey Proehl said.
