Jackson County Public Library unveils programs for February

The Jackson County Public Library is offering a variety of fun and educational programs for children and teens throughout February.

The following programs still have spaces or a wait list available, and registration is required. Sign up by calling or visiting any library or online at myjclibrary.org/events.

Storytime for babies (0 to 24 months) will be at 9:45 a.m. Tuesdays from Feb. 6 to 27, while storytime for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 2 to 5) will be at 10:15 a.m. during that same time frame. Storytime for children ages 0 to 5 will be offered at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays from Feb. 1 to 29. These storytimes, all at the Seymour Library, are limited to 20.

The Crothersville Library will have Crafty Kids at 4:30 p.m. Feb. 14. Open to kids in kindergarten through fifth grade, there is a limit of 15.

Teens in grades 6 to 12 can make a free Valentine’s Day-themed loom bracelet at one of three Lovely Looms programs: 4:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at the Crothersville Library (register by Feb. 2), 5 p.m. Feb. 6 at the Seymour Library (register by Feb. 2) and 4:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Medora Library (register by Feb. 6). There’s a limit of 15 per session.
