Good Friday Prayer Breakfast set for March 29

The annual Good Friday Prayer Breakfast will be at 7 a.m. March 29 at The Pines Evergreen Room, 4097 N. U.S. 31, Seymour.

Residents are encouraged to invite their pastor and church staff to attend as guests to show appreciation for their dedication and service throughout the year.

The cost for the breakfast buffet is $15. Doors open at 6:30 a.m. so attendees may go through the buffet line before the service. The program will conclude around 8 a.m.

Reservations and payment are due by March 21. Forms are available at Seymour City Hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut St. Forms may be mailed or dropped off along with payment. Checks should be made payable to The Pines, and include names of those attending.

The event will be hosted by Seymour Mayor Matt Nicholson. There will be a presentation of colors by the Seymour Young Marines and the Lutheran Men’s Chorus will perform.

The Invocation will be delivered by Andy Schroeder, pastor at the Seymour campus of Emmanuel Church. Rev. Damon Spurgeon from Peters Switch Church of the Nazarene will give the message. Rev. Brad Akey from Zion Lutheran Church will give the benediction.
