The Brownstown Exchange Club recently named Rylee May as its Youth of the Month for January.
May, the daughter of Reed and Joann May, is a senior at Brownstown Central High School, where she has played softball. She is captain of the team, and her awards include most valuable player, mental attitude and leading hitter. She also was named to the all-Mid-Southern Conference team and to The Tribune’s all-county softball team.
She is a member of the Booster Club (academic representative) and Letterman’s Club and is president of the National Honor Society and class valedictorian.
May plans to pursue a pre-law track — majoring in criminal justice — at the University of Alabama.
