Crothersville Redevelopment Commission reorganizes for 2024

The Crothersville Redevelopment Commission had its annual reorganization meeting Jan. 25 at the town hall.

During the election of officers, Jamy Greathouse was voted president, Jason Hillenburg was selected vice president and Ardell Mitchell was chosen secretary.

The previous president, Dale Schmelzle, said he no longer wanted to hold that role, so he’s now just a member of the commission.

The Crothersville Town Council will have to appoint the fifth member following the resignation of Alisa Sweazy.

The Crothersville Community School Corp. board of school trustees also will have to appoint one of its members to the redevelopment commission after John Riley resigned. That position is a nonvoting member.

The vacancies are expected to be filled when those boards meet in February.

Also during the meeting, reappointments were Lorenzo Bevers Braman & Connell as attorney, FPBH Inc. as engineering firm and Mike Sexton and John Dickerson as appraisers.
