Brownstown Central

The Lady Braves faced off with West Washington on Saturday for senior day, honoring Kelsey Schneider for her hard work and dedication to the Brownstown basketball program.

Brownstown was able to pick up a 26-point win in the contest, defeating the Senators 50-24.

Kinzee Dean led the team in scoring with 10 points, and Mallory Klosterman added nine. Sophie Wischmeier and Harley Toppe both chipped in eight points, while Jenna Klosterman scored five. Schneider added four points for the Braves.

The Braves will play their final regular-season game Thursday at North Harrison at 7:30 p.m.

Trinity Lutheran

The Cougars were on the road Saturday afternoon against South Decatur, dropping the battle of the Cougars 50-45.

Kiley Best of South Decatur led all scorers with 26 points.

Jordan Brewer led Trinity with 14 points, while Bailey Bonde added 13. The three other starters for Trinity all scored six points: Marley Warren, Laura Roeder and Liza Froedge.

Bonde led the team in rebounds with eight, while Froedge recorded 6. Warren and Brewer had the team high in assists with three apiece for Trinity.

Trinity falls to 10-10 on the season and has two games remaining in the regular season. They host Greenwood Christian on Tuesday before traveling to Madison on Thursday. Both games will start at 7:30 p.m.
