Back 2 Mac to perform at Park Theatre Civic Centre

Back 2 Mac, a tribute to Fleetwood Mac, will be in concert at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 2 at Park Theatre Civic Centre in North Vernon.

The group is well known for spot-on covers of the British-American rock band’s hugely popular songs that include “Dreams,” “Go Your Own Way,” “Landslide,” “Gypsy” and “Over My Head.”

“It’s an honor to play these songs, some of the best songs ever,” said Danny Flanagan, one of Back 2 Mac’s guitarists and vocalists. “It’s just so fun.”

The group also features bass player Tim Halcomb, a Dupont native, along with Kimmet Cantrell, Ray Rizzo, Bob Ramsey and Lauren Balthrop. Bob Willis of North Vernon will add a Tom Petty-like touch for at least one song.

The concert is part of Back 2 Mac’s current tour that includes stops in Woodstock, New York; Nashville, Tennessee; Chicago, Illinois; Berea, Kentucky; Maryville, Tennessee; Bloomington; Louisville, Kentucky; Indianapolis; and Lexington, Kentucky.

“Back 2 Mac always puts on a great show and packs the Park, usually selling out,” said Patti Yount, Park Theatre board president. “Tickets are going fast again. Those who want to see this show better not delay in getting to our box office.”

Tickets are $20 and are available in advance at the box office at the theater, 25 N. Madison Ave., North Vernon. Only cash and checks are accepted.

The box office is open from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. If tickets are still available, they also will be sold at the door on the night of the concert.
