Six petitions on Seymour BZA agenda

The Seymour Board of Zoning Appeals will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the council chambers at city hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.

The agenda includes Richard Stewart requesting a variance at 592 Camelot Drive to put a pool in the backyard. He will need to vary from the required rear 20-foot setback to be at 10 feet.

Also, Brad Miller is requesting a variance at 1633 Bell Ford Drive to put a pool in the backyard, and he needs to vary from the required 20-foot rear setback to be at 12 feet.

Aaron Bode is requesting a land use variance at 4934 N. U.S. 31 to run a small trucking business on the property. It went in front of the Seymour Plan Commission on Jan. 11 and received a favorable recommendation.

Richard Nowling is requesting a variance at 415 Emerson Drive to vary from the required 10% side setback of 5 feet to be right on the property line. He is building a 20-by-10-foot addition to an existing garage.

Daniel Luecke is requesting a variance at 1002 E. 16th St. to put a fence up, but he is on a corner lot and is restricted to the placement. He has already put the fence up, and it was brought to the planning and zoning department’s attention that he had not gotten a permit and needed the variance.

Finally, Michael Bell is requesting a variance at 2179 Willow Drive East to build a second structure on the property for his mother to live in.
