The Peoples Bank announces four recent promotions

The president and CEO of The Peoples Bank in Brownstown announced the promotions of four employees on Monday.

“These promotions reflect The Peoples Bank’s commitment to recognizing and nurturing talent within the organization while fostering a culture of excellence and growth,” Mark Norman said in a news release.

Jamie Grinstead is a 2000 Brownstown Central High School graduate and started at The Peoples Bank in 1999. She has worked in various departments of the bank throughout her career, starting in account services before quickly moving toward IT, compliance and electronic services. She now holds the position of vice president/human resources/data center operations/IT systems administrator.

After graduating from Brownstown Central High School in 2005, Jared Stahl earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from the University of Southern Indiana in Evansville. After joining the bank in 2010, he returned to Midwest Agricultural Banking School.

In 2023, he graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and quickly became an asset to both the bank and the many agricultural customers with his lifelong history of farming and his extensive schooling, Norman said. Stahl now holds the position of vice president/agricultural loan officer.

Adilee Phegley joined The Peoples Bank in 2007, which is the same year she graduated from Brownstown Central High School. During her career at the bank, her duties have included teller, customer service representative, loan department and electronic services.

With her broad experience, Norman said Phegley now holds the positions of assistant vice president/assistant to the president-CEO/advertising and marketing/board recording secretary.

Farrah Richey is a 1995 graduate of Columbus North High School and joined The Peoples Bank in 2007. Throughout her tenure, she has worked in several different departments, ranging from being a teller, loan department and loan review to her current position of branch manager of the East Tipton Street branch in Seymour and loan officer. She also holds the position of assistant vice president.

“These individuals have demonstrated dedication, skills and leadership qualities that align with The Peoples Bank’s values and goals,” Norman said. “Their contributions have not only played a significant role in the success of The Peoples Bank but have also contributed to the positive and collaborative work environment that defines our company culture.”

Norman said the bank believes in investing in its employees and providing opportunities for professional growth.

“The promoted individuals exemplify the high standards and commitment to excellence that The Peoples Bank values in its team members,” he said. “As The Peoples Bank continues to expand and innovate in the banking industry, these promotions underscore our dedication to building a talented and empowered workforce. We congratulate the promoted employees and look forward to their continued success in their new roles.”
