The Boys & Girls Club of Seymour is collecting nonperishable food to stock the food boxes around the city.

Join the club in celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service by donating canned goods and other nonperishable items.

Donations of nonperishable food in jars, cans and packets will be accepted from Jan. 8 to 12. Sauces, soups, beans, vegetables in cans or jars, honey, peanut butter, boxed juices, long-life milk, coconut cream and fish in oil are recommended. Pop-tab cans are preferred.

Donations may be dropped off at the club, 950 N. O’Brien St., Seymour.

Members who attend the club on Jan. 15 will have a chance to help fill the boxes.
