The Seymour Redevelopment Commission will continue to accept quality of life grant application submissions through Jan. 10.

The grants provide partial funding for projects within Seymour’s designated tax increment financing districts that improve the quality of life for Seymour residents through downtown/beautification, education or industrial projects.

The application process is open to nonprofit organizations that benefit public health, safety, morals and welfare; increase economic well-being of the unit and state; protect and increase property values; and/or are for public uses and purposes for which public money may be spent.

New projects and/or infrastructure materials may be given priority. Materials purchased or costs incurred prior to the awarding of a grant will not be considered for retroactive funding.
