Museum’s Christmas event now has free admission

The Seymour Museum Center recently received an anonymous donation to cover the cost of Old-Fashioned Christmas, so it’s now a free event open to the public from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 16 at the museum, 220 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.

There will be a live Nativity, strolling carolers, Deb Bedwell reading Christmas stories, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, a model train display, an antique toy display and treat bags. Attendees also may watch the Christmas Parade of Lights from the front steps. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m.

Anyone who had prepurchased tickets will receive a refund at the door.
