Tickets available for museum’s Old-Fashioned Christmas

The Seymour Museum Center will host Old-Fashioned Christmas from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 16 at the museum, 220 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.

Tickets are $15 per child or four for $50 and may be purchased at Artistic Impressions and the Jackson County Visitor Center in Seymour or by leaving a message at 812-524-9665.

Reddington Christian Church will host a live Nativity in the north parking lot, and strolling carolers will entertain inside while guests view historic displays, antique toys, working model railroads and holiday décor.

Santa and Mrs. Claus will welcome children, and Margaret Wilson will take pictures to be taken home.

Upstairs, angel Deb Bedwell will read Christmas stories, and craft tables will be available while children wait their turn to visit Santa.

Gift bags will be included in the tickets for each child.

Guests also are welcome to view the Seymour Parks and Recreation Department’s Christmas Lights Parade on the front steps of the museum. The parade starts at 5:30 p.m. on Chestnut Street and goes along Fifth Street and Indianapolis Avenue.

The museum will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays through Jan. 6. Special tours are available upon request.
