Seminars to help people navigate Medicare Advantage plans

The Schneck Foundation is hosting seminars for individuals turning 65 and older to help navigate MyTruAdvantage Medicare Advantage plans.

They will be presented by MyTruAdvantage at 6 p.m. Nov. 13 in Classroom 300 and at 9 a.m. Nov. 16 in Classroom 500 in the Schneck Professional Building, 411 W. Tipton St., Seymour. Park and enter on the level at which the classroom is located, Level 3 or Level 5.

Attendees will learn the differences between original Medicare and MyTruAdvantage Medicare Advantage plans. MyTruAdvantage was founded by local doctors and hospitals and is a provider-led plan.

According to the American Journal of Managed Care, provider-led plans like MyTruAdvantage deliver higher quality care and better overall member satisfaction. MyTruAdvantage is local and offers both HMO and PPO plans with a $0 member premium, $0 primary care provider copays, low copay for specialist visits and dental, vision, hearing and fitness benefits.
