The theme for the fifth annual Festival of Trees at the Jackson County History Center is gnomes and elves.

Christmas trees may be set up between Nov. 13 and 27 in the livery barn at the history center, 105 N. Sugar St., Brownstown.

Place for a tree can be reserved by individuals or groups by calling Margo Brewer at 812-525-2295 or Gloria Cross at 812-521-6717. The deadline to reserve a spot is Nov. 15.

The display will be open to the public from noon to 8 p.m. Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Dec. 1 to 23. Visitors will have an opportunity to view the trees and cast their vote for the people’s choice award.

Groups interested in viewing the display outside of those days can call Brewer to make a reservation.

Admission is free, but donations to the history center will be accepted.
