Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925’s annual V-J Day Celebration is set for 1 p.m. Sunday.

The event at the post at 311 S. Jackson Park Drive in Seymour is open to the public.

Retired U.S. Army Col. Kim Martindale will be the guest speaker. She was the commander of the Indiana National Guard’s 38th Sustainment Brigade before her retirement. Martindale served two tours of duty in the Middle East.

The ceremony will begin with the benediction, followed by the National Anthem, recognition of POWs and MIAs and veterans and their families. It will end with a gun salute and “Taps.”

A meal will then be served by the post’s Ladies Auxiliary, and Rich Hampton will provide music.
