A sign designating Coach Steve Coombs Field of Dreams Diamond at Shields Park in Seymour was unveiled during Monday’s Seymour Parks and Recreation Department board meeting at Seymour City Hall. It recognizes the late Seymour man’s 20-plus years of coaching baseball and working for the parks department. From left are Steve’s son, B.J. Robbins; wife, Diana Coombs; and nephew, Chad Hubbard; Parks Director Stacy Findley; and board President Monica Riley. A ceremony will be conducted in the spring of 2024 when the sign is placed at the ball field.
