The girls took the match in three straight sets, 25-15, 25-10, 25-10.

Brownstown coach Jennifer Shade spoke about the second straight title for the Braves.

“It was a very exciting feeling. I felt like the girls were on a mission, and they came out with the mindset that they were not going to lose,” she said. “They came to play and executed at a very high level throughout the day.”

Brownstown Central will be playing its regional matchups on Saturday at Mitchell High School, taking place at 1 p.m. Linton-Stockton will face off with North Posey beforehand at 11 a.m.

The Braves are scheduled to face off with North Decatur in their regional contest. The winners will then meet in the regional final at 7 p.m. that evening.

Shade spoke about how the team has come together as of late, leading to the sectional title.

“Something has clicked with us as a team. I’m very proud of them for what they have accomplished so far this season,” Shade said. “We are very excited for them to compete again this upcoming Saturday.”

The Braves defeated Paoli to advance to the championship game, defeating the Rams 25-18, 25-11, 25-20. The girls grabbed control of the matchup early and never let up to defeat Paoli.

Shade spoke about the match with the Rams on Saturday morning.

“Paoli was a much more fundamentally sound team than we thought,” she said. “We were a little surprised how well they played. We just controlled the game and came out on top in the end. Credit to them for putting up a great effort.”
