No gas leak detected at Seymour Crossing

UPDATED at 11:10 a.m. today

Emergency units from several agencies responded to a report of a possible gas leak with multiple patients this morning at Seymour Crossing at 707 S. Jackson Park Drive.

Seymour firefighters, however, were unable to find any gas leak, Seymour Fire Chief Eric Roll said later in the morning.

The report was received at approximately 9:15 a.m. today and units from Seymour police and fire departments along with the Jackson County Emergency Medical Services responded to the 115-bed nursing home on Seymour’s southeast side.

Many of the patients who had been taken outside were able to start returning to the home at about 9:35 a.m. No details about any injuries is available at this time.
