The Seymour Community School Corp. board of education will meet at 7 p.m. at the Seymour Central Service Center, 1420 Corporate Way.

The meeting will include the consent agenda, communications and recognition, donations and grants and updates on construction projects.

Action items are school improvement and evaluation plans with Lisa Ferguson, recommendation to declare surplus and approve auctioneer for school auction with Talmadge Reasoner and a renewal of affiliate agreement with IU Southeast with Brandon Harpe.

First read items include a policy update, foster grandparent program MOU, introducing Kids Klub to Seymour Intermediate, Corporation Health Insurance and discussion of a ten year facilities master plan agreement.

The last order of business is the 2024 budget, including the education fund, operations fund and all remaining plans and funds along with permission to advertise the budget and plans (notice of proposed school budget hearing 7 p.m. Sept. 26 and notice of proposed school budget adoption at 7 p.m. Oct. 10).

The meeting is open to the public and press.

At 6:30 p.m., the board will meet in executive session, which is closed to the public and press.
