Friends of the Library sale set for Saturday

Due to the Labor Day holiday weekend, Friends of the Jackson County Public Library will hold its bimonthly sale from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the meeting room at the Seymour Library, 303 W. Second St.

Members-only sales are from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Friday and from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday.

Sale prices are adult hardbacks, softbound books, music CDs and movies for $1 and children’s and young adult books and small paperbacks for 50 cents. Any specials for this sale will be posted on the Friends Facebook page before the sale starts.

Anyone unable to visit the sale on any of these days or times can shop from the ongoing sales in the Seymour Library Book Nook or sales carts at the Crothersville and Medora libraries during regular hours.

Anyone interested in becoming a Friend of the Library or renewing their 2023 annual membership will find the forms at the sale, at the checkout desks or online at myjclibrary.org/friends. Annual dues in each calendar year are $5 for individuals, $10 for family, $25 for donor and $50 for benefactor.

Donations for the sales are accepted during regular library hours. Monetary or item donations without membership or purchases also are welcomed.

The next sale is a week later than usual due to early voting in the library meeting room: 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 11 with a Friends-member-only sale 4 to 5:30 p.m. Nov. 10 and 10 to 10:30 a.m. Nov. 11.
