The annual International Overdose Awareness Day event in Seymour will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Crossroads Community Park, 101 E. Tipton St.

The event will include speakers sharing inspiring stories of reality, loss and hope. There also will be music, food, a butterfly release in remembrance of lives lost to overdose in Jackson County and live graffiti art by Kyle McIntosh.

The public is invited to attend this free event.
