Senior’s Day is set for Oct. 26 at Freetown Church of Christ, 7077 N. State Road 135, Freetown.

The event will include singing, preaching, fellowship, food, rekindling of old friendships, making new friends, excitement, surprises and more, according to a news release from Minister Barry DeWitt.

Registration will start at 8:30 a.m. with doughnuts and coffee available. The event will end by 3 p.m.

The cost, which covers a catered lunch by The Pines Restaurant, will be $15. Final prepaid registration numbers will be due and paid by Oct. 11.

The theme for the day will be “God & Country,” and the focus will be on “The father, son and holy ghost…the freedoms we share here in America and the freedom we have in Christ.”

J.D. Miller will be the pianist and storyteller for the day, and Bryan and Yvonne Hutson of Rescue Me Ministries will be there, too.

Jim Hutson, a veteran in the southern gospel world, will minister, and The Dave Melton Family, a family singing group based in Columbus, will share the love of Jesus through song.

Also, Ron Bridgewater, minister at East Columbus Christian Church, will be singing and preaching; Calib Smith will share his instrumental and singing skills; Betty Gray of Encourage Me Ministries will present a drama; and DeWitt will emcee, sing and speak.
