McAlister’s Deli, a fast casual chain restaurant, will open its doors in Seymour on Monday.
To celebrate the grand opening at 10:30 a.m., the location at 2014 E. Tipton St. will be giving the first 150 guests in line free iced tea for a year. This entitles the winners to one free tea per week for 52 consecutive weeks.
In addition, the restaurant will be hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. opening day.
McAlister’s Deli is home to handcrafted sandwiches, always-fresh salads, giant stuffed spuds and McAlister’s Deli Famous Sweet Tea.
Seymour McAlister’s will offer a variety of ways for guests to dine, including dine-in, window side pickup, delivery, pickup station and catering.

To show its appreciation for those who tirelessly serve the Seymour community, McAlister’s is inviting first responders, medical professionals, active military personnel, veterans, teachers, parent-teacher organization members and truck drivers to enjoy a complimentary meal from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday (Aug. 26). One guest will be permitted with each attendee, and they must show a badge or ID.
