Trinity Lutheran volleyball

Trinity Lutheran hosted New Albany on Saturday.

The Bulldogs defeated the Cougars in five sets, 25-22, 25-17, 20-25, 17-25, 15-8. Trinity dropped to 1-4 after the loss.

Carson Bowling led the Cougars in kills with 19, and Madison Keith followed with 15. Laura Roeder led the team in digs and aces, recording 23 digs and five aces for the Cougars.

Addie Darlage, Kiley Zabel and Bowling each recorded one ace. Darlage also led the team in assists with 36.

Crothersville cross country

Crothersville placed 19th out of 37 schools in the Jeremy Wright Invite on Saturday in Shelbyville.

Dirk Crater led the Tigers by placing fifth in 17:31.

Kaleb Moeller was 121st in 21:58, followed by Brayden Heath 150th in 22:47, Jude Howard 195th in 26:02, Gage Howard 220th in 31:22 and Corey Reynolds 222nd in 32:39.

Milan’s Benjamin Riehle won in 17:05.

Seymour boys soccer

Seymour traveled to Bloomington South on Saturday and lost 3-0.

Lance Hubbard recorded six saves in the net for Seymour.

The Owls (0-2-1) play again on Tuesday at Silver Creek. The game starts at 6 p.m. with a junior varsity half to follow the ending of the varsity game.
