Jeffery L. Miley, age 59, of Vallonia, Indiana, passed away peacefully at his home on August 10, 2023. He was born on June 11, 1964, in Vincennes, IN, to the late Jack and Heidi (Sterczer) Miley. Jeffery was a true embodiment of determination and independence, as evidenced by his successful ownership of JMT Framing Business, a venture he co-founded with his high school friend, Mike Turner. He was a graduate of Crothersville High School, Class of 1982, and furthered his education by attending Vincennes University. Jeffery was a proud member of Quail Unlimited and embraced the values of the Lutheran faith. A man of many dimensions, Jeffery was known for his lively sense of humor, often regaling friends and family with his witty jokes. He was equally recognized for his tireless work ethic, a quality that defined his approach to both his business and personal endeavors. Jeffery’s passions included immersing himself in the outdoors, indulging in hunting, fishing, and woodworking. An aficionado of old country music, he found solace in its timeless melodies. He cherished the opportunity to spend time with family and was a great “PapPap” to his grandchildren. His dream was to live off the grid and harmonize with the land. Jeffery is survived by his two loving daughters, Heidi Miley of Brownstown, IN, and Bailey Miley of North Vernon, IN; his three adored grandchildren, Zoey Jackson, Mila Jackson, and Hudson Miley; his dear sister, Donna (Randy) Butler of Seymour, IN; his nephews, Cory (Annabelle) Butler and Cameron (Anna) Butler, who greatly admired their uncle; and his two great-nieces, Lillian and Reese. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Randy King, will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Adams Family Funeral Homes &Crematory ~ Crothersville, followed by interment at Crothersville Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and share memories from Noon until the commencement of the service on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Adams Family Funeral Homes &Crematory ~ Crothersville. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Jeffery to support funeral expenses. Miley’s legacy of hard work, laughter, and a love for the great outdoors will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.
