The eighth annual FOP Pre-Scoop Cruise-In and Car Show Tom Gray Memorial is set for 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 18 in and around the Walnut Street and Robertson Feed Mill parking lots in downtown Seymour.

Parking will start at 3 p.m., and awards will be presented at 8:30 p.m.

The cost to enter a vehicle in the show is $15. Mail registration to FOP Car Show, Attn: C.J. Foster, 205 N. Ewing St., Seymour, IN 47274. Make checks payable to FOP Lodge 108. The first 100 entries will receive a dash plaque.

Proceeds will benefit the Fraternal Order of Police Donald M. Winn Lodge 108 Cops and Kids program, which pairs law enforcement with local kids on a shopping trip in early December at Walmart Supercenter in Seymour.

The Junkyard BBQ food truck will be onsite for food and drink purchases, and the FOP will have its trailer onsite manned by athletes and volunteers from Special Olympics Indiana Jackson County selling floats, ice cream, drinks and snow cones. The Special Olympics program will benefit from sales in the trailer.

Also during the event, there will be live music by local band Bad Medicine, silent and live auctions, door prizes and a 50/50 raffle. The live auction will include a $10,000 home improvement package from Royalty Roofing and Construction.
