SEYMOUR, IN

Sandra Sue Keefer, 68, of Seymour passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour. She was born on April 27, 1955, in Seymour, the daughter of Oliver Lyle and Barbara (Rose) Keefer.

Sandra is survived by her brothers and sisters, Michael Keefer, Kenneth Keefer, Karen (Dan) Wheeler, Rick (Charlotte) Keefer, Cynthia Fisher, and Craig (Natalie) Keefer. In addition to her brothers and sisters, Sandra is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents Oliver and Barbara Keefer.

Sandra was a 1973 graduate of Seymour High School. After graduating high school, she followed in her father’s footsteps and enlisted in the United States Army. While in the Army she served in Germany and other areas of the world. After honorably serving her country Sandra went on to work as a mail sorter for the United States Post until her retirement.

She attended Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour. She enjoyed watching birds and hiking on the nature trails at Muscatatuck National Wildlife Refuge. Most of all Sandra enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. She will always be remembered as being the protector of the family.

Funeral services for Sandra will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at 1:30 p.m. at Voss &Sons Funeral Home in Seymour with Pastor Kyle Kaminski officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
