Beginning today, Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Force Construction Co. plans to begin the removal of temporary structures underneath the Interstate 65 bridge at State Road 46 in Columbus.
Lane closures will occur while work is in progress.
Motorists can expect left lane closures on State Road 46 and ramps at the I-65 interchange between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. today and Friday and the following Monday. Once the structures have been removed, traffic will return to its normal configuration. Overnight restrictions will be in place from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday and Tuesday to replace pavement markings.
Starting tonight, overnight lane restrictions will begin on I-65 for pavement marking installation. Lane restrictions are expected nightly between mile marker 67 and mile marker 69 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
