The Jackson County Council is scheduled to meet at 8 a.m. Wednesday at the Jackson County Courthouse, 111 S. Main St., Brownstown.

Agenda items include a request for an additional appropriation from the Driftwood Township Volunteer Fire Department and elected and department reports and requests.

Council meetings, held in the former Jackson Circuit Court courtroom, are open to the public and press.
