Daily lane restrictions will begin next week on U.S. 50 west of Brownstown.

Contract crews plan to begin guardrail modernization and replacement work next week along U.S. 50 in Jackson and Lawrence counties.

Starting on or after Monday, motorists can expect daily lane restrictions between State Road 135 and State Road 446.

Guardrail work will begin near Brownstown and continue west. Restrictions are expected between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, weather permitting.

Work may occur on Saturdays if necessary. This project is scheduled to be completed by late October.

The Indiana Department of Transportation reminds drivers to slow down, use caution and avoid distractions when traveling in and near construction zones. All work is weather-dependent, and schedules are subject to change.
