The Boys & Girls Club of Seymour and Community Foundation of Jackson County have teamed up to provide family literacy opportunities for Spanish-speaking residents. The club engaged families throughout the 2022-23 school year by supplying them with bilingual family literacy workbooks and easy readers. More than 60 workbooks and 480 family engagement packs were given to families at Margaret R. Brown and Seymour-Jackson elementary schools to support parent involvement and academic success. In addition, the Boys & Girls Club is home to a free lending library of bilingual books for all age and reading levels.
