A summer kids event called Stellar VBS will be from 6 to 8 p.m. July 9 to 13 at Central Christian Church, 1434 W. Second St., Seymour.

At this vacation Bible school, kids will discover how they can shine Jesus’ love and hope in everyday life, according to a news release from the church. Kids will participate in Bible-learning activities, sing songs, play teamwork-building games, enjoy treats, experience Bible adventures, collect Bible memory buddies to remind them of Jesus’ light and test sciency-fun gizmos they’ll take home and play with all summer long.

Children also will look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes with a cosmic closing that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 7:50 p.m.

The kids also will join a missions effort to raise dollars for Hilltop Christian Camp.

Stellar is for kids from 3-year-olds who are potty-trained to those who have completed fifth grade. The church will provide grab-and-go meals at 5:30 p.m. each day, but kids must be registered for them.
