Seymour City Council to meet Monday night

The Seymour City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the council chambers at city hall, 301-309 N. Chestnut St., Seymour.

The agenda includes compliance with statement of benefits for Old Towne Marketplace, transfer of a tax abatement from Old Towne Marketplace II LLC to United Pipe & Steel Corp. and statement of benefits from United Pipe & Steel Corp.

New business includes introduction of ordinances to amend city code for speed limits and to require a permit for short-term rentals and establish fines and a permit fee and introduction of a resolution to establish a fiscal plan for the annexation of a certain territory to the city, placing the same within the corporate boundaries thereof and making the same part of the city.

Also, there will be resolutions to approve the previously mentioned tax abatement transfer and tax abatement, and Lindsay Sarver will address the council.
