Max Warren Tuttle, 81, of North Vernon passed away on June 9, 2023, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour. Max was born on May 4, 1942, in Indianapolis to Alfred Arvine and Kathryn Virginia (Stark) Tuttle. He was a 1960 graduate of Seymour High School and served his country honorably for six years in the Indiana National Guard. On July 22, 1966, he married Glenda Ruth Stahl.

Max worked with his father in their garage. He loved to race. Max and his dad went into the dump truck business and later they were in the excavating business. Max and his son, Scott worked side by side for 31 years. Max also drove a school bus for Jennings County Schools for 43 years. Max was a board member of Hayden Water for many years. He also served on the Hayden Waste Water Board. He was a member of the Hayden Historical Museum and in 2010 was inducted into the Hayden Hall of fame.

Max is survived by his wife, Glenda, daughter, Marsha Maschino; son, Scott Tuttle; one grandson, Tyler Maschino. Max was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Kathryn.

Funeral services for Max will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at Voss &Sons Funeral &Cremation Service; burial will follow in the Hayden Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday June 14, 2023, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Hayden Historical Museum or the Alzheimer’s Association.
