Brownstown assistant superintendent completes EPIC academy

Brownstown Central Community School Corp. Assistant Superintendent Jade Peters was one of 21 Indiana administrators to complete the EPIC Superintendents Academy.

The Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents and the Butler University College of Education created EPIC, a yearlong leadership excellence program for Indiana’s public school superintendents, in 2017.

The academy just completed its sixth cohort in May, helping superintendents return to their school corporations with more tools to use in their work to help schools and students be successful.

Based on the feedback provided by superintendents throughout the state, the experience builds skills in many areas, including strategy development, budgeting and finance, change management, community and stakeholder outreach, building a high-performance team and board relations.
