Asphalt resurfacing work on U.S. 50 in Seymour will begin today and occur nightly from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Road will move to one lane during work hours.
Work on an asphalt resurfacing project on Tipton Street (U.S. 50) in Seymour between Community Drive and Agrico Lane in Seymour began Thursday evening, according to a news release from the Indiana Department of Transportation.
Contractor Dave O’Mara received a $6.3 million contract in March for the project, which will occur nightly from approximately 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Additional work includes repairs to manholes and gutter grates and the relocation of signal housings through the work area.
The roadway will be reduced to one lane where work is occurring. The project is expected to be complete this fall.
