A Brownstown Central High School senior recently was named Brownstown Exchange Club Youth of the Year.
Kalee Borden, who also was the club’s Youth of the Month for March, was recognized during a ceremony attended by her parents, Paul and Lee Ann Borden. The presentation was conducted by club members Miko McRoy and Kevin Gwin.
Borden is the senior class president and the leader of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Borden also spent two trimesters as a member of the school choir, was captain of the girls basketball and volleyball teams and was a member of the Booster Club, Letterman’s Club and National Honor Society.
She plans to study pharmacy at Purdue University.
The club’s other Youths of the Month this school year, who are all seniors, were Madison Edwards, October; Carson Darlage, November; Madeline Gibson, December; Jaren Cunningham, January; and Maddy Hackman, February.
