The deadline for grant applications to support and promote effective efforts of prevention, education, treatment and reduction of substance use and misuse in Jackson County has been extended to April 15.
There is still time to submit an application, and the Jackson County Drug-Free Council Inc. is available to assist you with any questions you may have, according to a news release from Brenda Turner, the council’s director.
The grant application is available on the council website at drugfreecouncil.org.
Quarterly reports on progress and expenditures are required as well as participation in monthly meetings by the applicant or their representative.
The council’s goal is to utilize the $74,041.09 in funds available to support the needs of the residents of Jackson County and to make it a healthier and safer place to thrive, Turner said.
