Country rock band coming to Park Theatre in North Vernon

A country rock band known as Shiloh will perform at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25 at Park Theatre Civic Centre, 25 N. Madison Ave., North Vernon.

The six-piece group features four vocalists who cover a variety of popular country and classic rock songs from several decades.

“We play everything from Patsy Cline and Janice Joplin to Conway Twitty and Journey,” said Lanny McIntosh, a guitarist and vocalist with the band. “We might be a little more country than rock, but not much.”

Shiloh’s repertoire includes popular songs from Aretha Franklin, REO Speedwagon, Exile, Eagles and The Doobie Brothers.

McIntosh is a veteran musician who with guitarist-mandolin player David Graves and drummer Todd Bessinger has performed in Nashville, Daytona Beach, Calgary and other places for more than 30 years. They’ve opened for such national acts as Travis Tritt, Reba McEntire and Sawyer Brown.

Around two years ago, the trio formed Shiloh and added vocalist Kayce Sexton, keyboard player Ryan Pivonka and bass player Eric Sexton. They performed last summer at Stellar Summer Nights in North Vernon and at the Jackson County Fair in Brownstown.

Tickets for the upcoming show are $10 and available in advance at the Park Theatre box office and also will be sold at the door on the night of the concert.

Cash and checks only are accepted. The box office is open from 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays.

“If you listen in to WXKU 92.7 FM and catch their ticket giveaway promotion for this concert, you just might get lucky, too,” McIntosh said.
