The annual meeting of the Jackson County Clothing Center recently was held at Calvary Baptist Church in Seymour.
Members elected Bonnie Charlton as president, Leisa Sunbury as vice president, Nancy Wininger as treasurer and Cheryl Vierling as secretary.
The board announced that on the first Thursday of each month, the center at 622 W. Second St., Seymour, will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. That’s in addition to the regular hours of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Also new, Joyce Stuckwisch will be available every Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. for translation help.
Currently, the clothing center needs school-age boys and girls coats, winter shoes for all of its clients and blankets of all sizes. Monetary donations also are accepted for the upkeep of the facility, and donations may be designated for specific items or donor’s choice.
The center will be closed from Dec. 23 to Jan. 2 and reopen Jan. 3.
