The Seymour Middle School robotics team is off to a great start after its first competition this past weekend at Immanuel Lutheran School in Seymour.
Three teams made it to the finals, including Leo Holle, Gavin Burnside, Jaxon Vires, Micah Yee, Kirby Tormoehlen, Jacob Mikel, Bryan Jaime, Sharon Villatoro and Keigan Miskell.
Team 3138A, consisting of Holle, Burnside and Vires, placed second and earned a spot in the 2023 Indiana VEX Robotics State Championship in March in Indianapolis.
The Seymour Middle School Sixth Grade Center robotics team also is off to a great start. Three out of five teams participated this past weekend. Connor Wilson and Noble Hare made it to the finals.
