Nickie “Nick” Joe Kriete, 71, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on October 10, 2022, in Columbus, Ohio. He was born in 1950 to the late Donald and Betty (Greene) Kriete.

In his spare time, he enjoyed working on home improvement projects and spending time with his family. He was a talented football and basketball player in his youth and continued to be an avid fan throughout his life. Nick studied and worked on B-52s &KC-135s in the United States Air Force. Throughout his career, he was well known as being exceptionally talented at process improvement and retired from Celadon Trucking in 2017.

Nick is survived by his daughters, Lora Kriete, Jill (Peter) Darling, Ashlee Clark, and Nikki (Tyler) Davers; three grandsons, Alex Knight, Gabriel Davers, and Michael Davers; three granddaughters, Kaley Knight, Olivia Darling, and Marlee Clark; great grandson, Ronan Kane Byrd; brother, Larry Kriete, and sister Donetta ‘Yogi’ (Brian) Fouts.

He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Kiralee Davers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Chateau de Pique in Seymour, Indiana Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 12-3 p.m.
