Barbara Deane (Campbell) Shipley, 84, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away on October 21, 2022, at Covered Bridge Health Campus. She was born in 1938 to the late Alfred and Violet (Henderson) Campbell in Seymour. On October 13, 1956, she married Jack Allen Shipley in Terre Haute, Indiana and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2009.

In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping at Greemann’s Furniture on Saturdays while her husband was working overtime at Cummins. She also did cross stitch, needlepointing, and gardening. She was a carrier for The Republic Newspaper for over 20 years.

Barbara is survived by her daughters, Monica (David) Cook, Marsha (Jim) Frisbie, and Melanie (Rick) Godsey; four grandsons, Adrian Wilson, Niles (Brandy) Frisbie, Jonathan Godsey and Daniel Godsey; granddaughters, Jill (Peter) Kriete Darling, Amanda (Ryan) Frisbie Bateman, and Leah (Tim) Vogel Simpson; 8 great grandchildren; Olivia Darling, Warren Frisbie, Emma Frisbie, Keller Bateman, Wyatt Bateman, Luke Simpson, Noah Simpson, and Zion Simpson; and one sister, Cynthia Campbell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son Mark Shipley, a daughter Melissa Shipley Vogel, 3 brothers, Al Campbell Jr., Merrill Campbell, and Michael Campbell.

Visitation will be held at Voss and Sons Funeral Service on Monday October 24, 2022, from 4-8 pm and on Tuesday October 25, 2022, from 12 until the time of service at 1pm. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
