Preparations are underway for the 49th annual Seymour Oktoberfest at this time. The festival opens at 10 a.m. Thursday. The opening ceremony, featuring the prince and princess contest, booth awards, window decorating contest awards and baking contest awards, will be from 5:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday at the north stage.
