A male juvenile died in a single-vehicle wreck Friday evening in far northeastern Jackson County, police report.
The crash, which also left four other people injured, was reported at about 10:10 p.m. in the 12000 block of East County Road 700N, according to a news release issued Monday by Jackson County Sheriff Rick Meyer.
The male juvenile, who had a Seymour address, was pronounced dead at the scene by an official with the Jackson County Coroner’s Office, while the remaining four were transported to Schneck Medical Center by Jackson County Emergency Medical Services, Meyer said.
None of the names of anyone involved in the wreck was released.
Indiana State Police was contacted to reconstruct the accident, Meyer said, and the investigation is ongoing.
Seymour Police Department officers assisted at the scene along with personnel with the Redding Township Volunteer Fire Department, Jackson-Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department and Jackson County EMS.
