Anchor House to benefit from charity ride, cruise-in

A charity ride and cruise-in will take place Saturday to benefit Anchor House Family Assistance Center and Pantry.

The ride is for Jeeps, ATVs/UTVs and motorcycles and will start at 1 p.m. at Heritage Park, 121 E. Walnut St., Brownstown. Registration will start at noon. The cost is $25 per vehicle.

The cruise-in is for any type of vehicle and will go from 3 to 7 p.m. on the street near the park and the Jackson County Courthouse. The cost is $10. Participants will receive two raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes, and a trophy will be awarded to the fan favorite vehicle.

Also from 3 to 8 p.m. at the park, there will be a silent auction, a live auction, live music by Forrest Turner, a bounce house for kids, food trucks and a beer garden.

Anchor House is a nonprofit organization with the mission of investing into families and individuals through housing and resources while fighting hunger in Jackson County. It operates two homeless shelters in Seymour and also a community food pantry at one of them.
