Chamber planning District 69 debate

The Jackson County Chamber will host a debate between the Democrat and Republican candidates for the Indiana District 69 state representative seat.

The debate will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 6 at Seymour High School’s Earl D. Prout Auditorium. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.

Incumbent Jim Lucas, R-Seymour, and contender Chad Harmon, a Democrat, both have agreed to participate in the debate.

Dan Robison, director of the Jackson County Chamber, and Arann Banks, executive director of the Jackson County Visitor Center, will moderate the debate, which is free and open to the public.
